NEW..!! DRAFT VISITS-- UPDATED..!! TRENDS DISCUSSION --- - Hobbit99 - 03-22-2025 One of the best markers we have as fans are the Draft prep "Visits" that the Panthers schedule with prospects. Here is a current list of the visits that are scheduled (OR are already completed..). There will be more added to the list as we move forward, but as for now, this is it. There are some interesting names on these lists. Some of these guys we have talked about some around the forum. Some are 'new' names (at least to me..). TOP 30 / LOCALS South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori Virginia S Jonas Sanker Georgia DL Warren Brandon Kentucky DL Deone Walker Florida LB Shemar James Florida DL Cam Jackson (TWICE) PRO DAY MEETINGS Syracuse OLB Fadil Diggs Georgia LB Jalon Walker (TWICE) COMBINE MEETINGS Florida DT Cam Jackson. (TWICE) Ole Miss CB Trey Amos Iowa State CB Darien Porter Georgia S Malaki Starks Purdue OL Marcus Mbow Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo Oregon OT Josh Conerly Georgia LB Jalon Walker (TWICE) Miami WR Sam Brown Jr. The Combine is long gone, so that particular list is "complete". "Pro Days" are still going on, so there will undoubtedly be more meetings added to those listed here. The "Locals & Top 30" will fill out ((to 30..) -- most likely). Although, if I remember correctly, the Panthers did NOT use all 30 last year .... Hmm, maybe it was the year before..?? The highlighted names are ones mentioned around here and other places.. RE: PANTHERS DRAFT VISITS--TOP 30--LOCALS--PRO DAYS--COMBINE - Ladypanther - 03-22-2025 Good info Hobs....I like seeing Walker on there several times. And I know we both like Skattebo. Also the safety Emmanwori. Some very long days for Morgan & Company leading up to the draft. They are in charge of so little and have to prepare for everything...including adjusting on the fly. Wonder how much sleep they are getting? They are in charge of so little and have to prepare for everything...including adjusting on the fly. Wonder how much sleep they are getting? Exactly. You said it, girl. With a month left to go before Draft Night, Dan and "company" are undoubtedly burning the midnight oil. It's hard for us to understand just how much work goes into this time of year. Those guys are going to be wiped out before the Draft actually gets here. -- Sleep..?? What's that.?? ![]() RE: PANTHERS DRAFT VISITS--TOP 30--LOCALS--PRO DAYS--COMBINE - Hobbit99 - 04-03-2025 With the 2025 NFL Draft coming up quickly, I will update this list as often as I can get new 'results'. The 2025 Draft is on the 24th -- 26th of April (THIS MONTH..!!). That means that we are inside of three weeks now. About twenty days left until the Draft takes place. Historically, the Panthers have done "visits" with the players who they end up drafting..... Not ALWAYS, mind you, but for example, last year the Panthers "visited" with their first four draft selections. So, a 'visit' (or multiple visits) with a player is indicative of REAL interest in that player. But .... there is a downside to trying to quantify this "list". The Panthers (and all the rest of the NFL teams..) do not want these "visits" to be common knowledge. It gives away too much information that other teams can use against us during negotiations. In other words, it's best if the rest of the league doesn't know what we are thinking.... So, this list is sort of a secret. The Panthers just don't publish names of players they are interested in. Of course, the players names are listed here and there on the web. Sometimes reporters see players coming in to the complex. Sometimes the players themselves post their visits on social media. So the names end up "out there" --- at least most of them do. But not all.... That is just another way of saying that this list will never be complete. There are visits going on as we speak..... we just don't know all of their names. RE: PANTHERS DRAFT VISITS--TOP 30--LOCALS--PRO DAYS--COMBINE - Hobbit99 - 04-03-2025 OK... Here is an updated list of visits that have been 'noticed', 'reported on', or 'posted' by players or teams. This list is NOT complete, nor is it guaranteed to be accurate. There is a lot of supposition here and frankly some guessing as well by some of the reporters involved. Here is the original list I posted last week, with the new additions listed in a group at the bottom. DRAFT VISITS-- UPDATED..!! TRENDS DISCUSSION --- - Hobbit99 - 04-06-2025 I ran into this discussion yesterday... One of the interesting things here is a reference to a Reddit about Panthers Visits. I don't (normally) put a lot of faith in Reddit or any other non-official postings (like maybe Quora or ..??). Anyway, I be-bopped on over there and took a look at the aforementioned chart. Surprisingly, it was quite in-depth and looked well-thought out and reasoned. I suspect that is the reason that CSR quoted it. In any event, here is the link to the Reddit if you are so inclined: REDDIT: Panthers Draft Visits So, here is the actual discussion as posted by CSR (Cat Scratch Reader). --- Tres Interresant.!! CSR: Panthers: Analyzing Trends Indications By Visits Quote:"Analyzing early trends in the Panthers pre-draft visits RE: NEW..!! DRAFT VISITS-- UPDATED..!! TRENDS DISCUSSION --- - Ladypanther - 04-06-2025 This is Dan's 2nd year so I think applying Panther historical trends does not equate with Dan's emerging trends. I say emerging because he is still growing and developing as a new GM. No doubt there might be some things he did last year he might now do differently. That being said...last year he said he would focus on offense....he did that. This year he said he needs to focus in defense. Depending on how he feels about free agency and the talent in the draft...pick #8 could be wide open. Could we see the team draft someone they have not met with? Well...there are lots of ways to do research on a player and teams sometimes like to keep their thoughts close to the vest. If the Panthers do not go D at 8...I think the pick will be the TE from Penn St, I would not be upset with that. RE: NEW..!! DRAFT VISITS-- UPDATED..!! TRENDS DISCUSSION --- - Josh21 - 04-07-2025 I applaud that take. Best impact if Warren there. ,hunter gone . I hope we identify a real edge.. walker a Luvu clone.. love it, but a true edge helps the most. If walker is an ilb first..:that helps RE: NEW..!! DRAFT VISITS-- UPDATED..!! RE: NEW..!! DRAFT VISITS-- UPDATED..!! TRENDS DISCUSSION --- - PantherFan007 - 04-09-2025 The visits so far look very Defense-heavy. Not that it means anything. They could be just tire kicking to make sure they don't pass up something good just to pick someone on Offense. |
