Canalysis - coffee - 09-21-2026
Watched Dave C.s press conference and just a couple thoughts:
1. He was asked about how satisfied he is letting someone else call plays. No one was saying anything good or bad about it, but I love it when someone is quick to take humor in pointing the finger at themselves. He said something to the effect of "Yeah, who was that playcaller last year that couldn't get the ball down the field?" Kudos to him for that!
2. Nothing on Brooks injury other than groin and wait for a report.
3. If I was asking the questions, I'd asked this: Last year, we showed we had the tools to shock the world several times. However, we followed each impressive win with a major letdown week. What are you doing differently this season after a huge win like this to keep us out of letdown mode? (May've been asked and I missed it.)
4. Funny slip: I'm sure Dave meant to say Dan Morgon was feeling good about himself on the bus ride home. What he actually said was that Dan was feeling himself on the bus. I'd love to hear Dan's comments to Dave after that. Happily, after that good of a division win, Dan's probably in a good mood. If he was in a bad mood, Dan Morgan is not someone I'd want angry with me.

I just thought someone gave Brooks the business, I didn't realize he had an injury. It seems he gets injured a tad bit "much".
I listened the Canales' press conference, too, and gave cudos to him for giving credit to Brad Idzik. Over the first two games, I am more impressed with Brad Idzik's play calling than with Canales.
Hey, Dan might have been feeling himself. Who knew? lol

Yeah, Canales soaks up the sunshine alright. I LIKE him as a HC (not so much as an Offensive play-caller..). I wonder if he'll soak up the rain when it happens, like he does the sunshine.??

Thanks for the welcome. Life kinda throws too many bigger fish to fry, but I think I'm able to be a more regular aggravator here now.
