Although it's not official, the Rams are said to be seeking a trade partner for Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, All Pro WR Cooper Kupp. Kupp was drafted by the Rams in the 3rd round in 2017. He has played exclusively for the Rams and has enjoyed a great career.. Kupp helped lead the Rams to a Super Bowl title in 2022. He is 31 years old.

Cooper Kupp announced on social media that the team (Rams) had notified him that they would be trading him this off-season. The trade would come with two years remaining on his contract worth about $20 Million per year -- unless his contract is re-negotiated. His new team would be responsible for those two years, including roster bonuses and base contract monies.

This is another example of an 'aging' but still young player looking down the barrel of an unknown future.

Kupp has been a standout receiver since joining the NFL. He might have another year or two ahead, but what he does offer is a veteran presence that younger players can learn from. Not sure what he'll get from any kind of trade, but he wouldn't be a back pickup for a team (not unlike the Panthers) who has a lot of rookies and/or young receivers looking for future growth.

Sorry I posted this in the wrong forum. Should have been in the “NFL” forum…. Oh well…

Kupp is indeed a stud receiver. He’s big and he’s tough. Doesn’t back down from ANY defender. A veteran presence..?? Indeed, yes. We already have Thielen though…unless he decides to retire..?? What advantage would Kupp bring.?? The only thing I can think of is age. Kupp is several years younger. Worth $20M per year.???
I think it’s a moot point. If Thielen re-signs, I think we draft another mid-rounds somewhere— maybe.?? Of course, if Thielen retires…. Who knows.  All bets are off.

Brother, as little traffic as we have, you can post it anywhere.  "Back in the old days" when we used to have three hundred posts per day, I had to setup up subforums for the different posts, but now it's not a problem.

LOL -- Yeah, I guess.!!

Those were the days, alright. That "crash" and the new server and software setup along with the time delay, really raised havoc with the membership.

For those who don't know (or remember), the forum went down (BOOM) a while back. It's been down several times for short periods, but this was a MAJOR crash -- maybe four years ago (5..??). Anyway, a LOT of the members just didn't hang in long enough to see the new forum rise from the ashes like a Phoenix. And a lot of the credentials (log-in and emails, etc...) were lost, at least for awhile.. I am not speaking for 007, but I remember talking to him about it at the time. Lots of the members just never came back when the forum was resurrected.

We have a solid (small) group now.  AND .... it's less work for the boss. !!!
