PANTHERS DRAFT RB..?? -- CAM SKATTEBO - ARIZONA STATE

With Jonathon Brooks out for the season (probably--???).. Are the Panthers going to look for another RB, or will we just make do and fill in with someone as needed.??

Something to think about....  Cam Skattebo, ASU, has raised a bit of controversy at the Combine. He is NOT doing all of the drills, but is doing some, along with interviews.

WHO is Skattebo.??  Well, he is a highly motivated RB who tore things up this past year. 293 carries --1711 yds, 21 TDs. Also, 45 receptions -- 605 yds, 3 TDs.  Those numbers work out to -- 5.8 YPC, and 13.4 YPC.  He also finished 5th in Heisman voting...  PFF has him going off the board in the 1st rd. at #21, ALL ACCESS has him going in the 1st at #28. -- His consensus ranking is much lower though... somewhere around #75 overall. So... his ranking puts him around the top of the 3rd.

Seriously: Want to see a true POWER back in the manner of 'smash-mouth' football -- You NEED to watch this guy.!!  Good grief, Charlie Brown - Have mercy on the Defense.!!

After seeing his performance in the CFP....he single handedly got ASU back in the game against Texas while playing hurt........I would love to have him on the team. But Panthers cannot afford to draft him too high.  If Dan is able to trade back and acquire some picks, we could be in a great situation.

I don't know how high he is going to go, but.... Goodness gracious..!!! That is nothing but pure power and desire. I know there have been a lot of good RBs in the league, but.... SMH. I can't remember anyone that runs (or RAN..) that hard ... downhill. It's like rolling a 16 pound ball through a bunch of duck pins at high speed. There's nothing left standing.!!
