Baker Mayfield is expected to start for the Bucs.   Tampa Bay Buccaneers News Updates - October 2026

The Panthers need to seriously clean up and stop the mental penalties.  I can live with a penalty for playing hard, but making stupid penalties (false starts, holding, hands to face, unnecessary roughness, etc) need to be stopped.

GO PANTHERS!!!!!

It blows my mind that Baker is such a child that he was frustrated with Carolina. I know he's a competitor and I could easily see him being frustrated at the Browns. Also at having been injured and playing so poorly here as a result.

But he was horrible. HORRIBLE!

I hadn't realized until now how immature he was. No one else was giving him a second look but we gave him a contract, a real shot and even made him the starter, and he blew it. Understandable considering his injury was still hampering him some. Plus, we had a very weak team. Together, that seemed to spell doom from the start. But it was a springboard, HIS ONLY SPRINGBOARD, to his future as a QB. He was sitting out there on the market with no interest and with even us telling him no. But we ended up giving him a shot. That is something that any decent human should be eternally grateful for.

Instead, he whined about being given odd jobs like working with the scout team and says he was treated passive-aggressively. If I was doing THAT terrible at my main job, I'd have been determined to happily do any odd jobs as a "thank you while we wait to see if I can improve."

I'm going to be very frustrated if he goes out there today and uses his own immaturity as an excuse to get fired up and have a great day. [end of rant]

WORST game of the year -- (SO FAR..!!)

The Bears game was B A D .  But this game was worse. The Panthers are reverting to their old "normal".

Let's see -- It was this time last week that everyone was chanting "MVP, MVP..." ---- Hmm...

I haven't thought about it too much yet, but I know it was terrible...

I don't even know what to say. Yes I do - Nothing. That's what. I didn't get to watch the game (but DVR'd it) because we had to go out of town and didn't get home until the game was over. I had already been given the heads-up that I might not want to watch it, and I did not once I saw the final score.

Just terrible, completely embarrassing. Evero needs to go. Canales might not be that far behind him. I don't even want to ask "What the hell happened?" because there is no answer other than we are posers and completely suck when it counts the most.
