I’m just gonna be honest, I’m gonna give him a pass this week, BY was throwing over his head, at his feet, behind him, and just plain no where near him.  BY looked like he don’t have the timing with his wr’s down.

Exactly... If we're going to put some "blame" out there, we need to be certain it's "fair". We all know XL had some drop problems LAST YEAR. But this year (so far...) that hasn't been a problem. No need to make these problems about XL - just because he makes a good scapegoat.

In this game the #1 and #2 receivers, T. McMillan and X Legette had a total of seven (7) catches out of eighteen (18) targets. That's a 39% completion rate. THAT is not the fault of the WRs. Now, it's true that T Mc caught 6 passes and XL only caught 1, but that doesn't mean that it was XL's fault. Of the two WRs, XL is quite a bit faster than T Mc. What I saw was BY missing windows of opportunity because of late decisions and poorly thrown balls into bad positions. As fast as XL is, you just can't be late all the time and expect him to catch balls that are unreachable. LAST week XL caught everything that he could get to. HONESTLY, I don't remember XL dropping a pass yet this year. (I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I can't remember one...). Now, he did fail to get both feet down twice last week, but especially on crossing routes, with his speed, the ball needs to get out quick or it arrives too late at the sideline. He caught them, but was just too late to get his feet down. The rest of the receivers were a LOT better because they are a LOT slower and operate toward the center of the field.

Overall, BY was 35 - 55 (64%) which is not terrible, but not terrific either, it's OK. JT Sanders was 7-9; Renfro was 7-9; Hubbard was 5-6; Tremble was 3-3 - ad infinitum..... BY's QBR was 47.5

In the first two games BY has thrown four (4) INTs and lost two (2) fumbles. We will NEVER win many games with QB play like that. -- And YES, I realize that he was 'credited' with only two (2) INTs last week, but the reality was he actually threw three (3). Just because one was called back because of a penalty, well ... he still threw it, didn't he.??

THIS ^^^ is not a treatise on BY and his issues. It is simply an honest, factual accounting of the way the first two games have gone. Let's not be too quick to judge ANY player, but especially someone like XL who just happens to be an easy target.!!

That's the view from here...

Agreed, and not defending Xavier unduly, most of those balls yesterday were uncatchable. The talking heads got onto him last week about him not getting "both feet down" on that one play, but momentum is everything. Where the ball was thrown, given his momentum (and I have re-watched it several times), it would have been next to impossible for any wide receiver to get both feet down inbounds.
