Hmmm... "Practice Squad" players don't normally get introductory press conferences.   

He's definitely a likeable kid. And he's close to Home. That's always inspiring. But most of all he seems genuinely humble. That means a lot to me.

Seems nice enough. Talks like an educated man, and that's good. Good interview.  Overall, I am not unhappy with this choice.
Good size ---  6'3" - 220. If his knee is solid he should be a good backup at a minimum.

Agreed.  And, the Red Rocket isn't going to stick around forever.  Andy is in his 15th season and one has to believe he is seriously contemplating retirement or at least "other avenues".  I fully expect this to be his last season as a Panther.  And, while I am glad we have had him, one has to wonder about his elbow that he injured (for no apparent reason) during the preseason.  That makes me wonder if the front office is actually going to gamble on opening the season with only two quarterbacks on the roster.

Yes, you have to wonder about that. Canales said that there was light contact, but who knows. There is so much hype and "spin" put on everything there is just no way to tell what's true and what's "spin".  We might see Hooker on the 53 a lot earlier than forecast. I sincerely hope Andy is OK, but like you said, he's getting to the point where you wonder about his plans...
