Hooker must be bad.  Andy had a broken thumb last week and had to play.  Mike White promoted to the 53...Hooker still in PS.

Sounds like Bryce may be playing this weekend?

My gosh...Dan needs to make big upgrades next year in the QB room.

Yeah, I think Bryce will get the start on Sunday, but Mike White might end up with some snaps before the game is finished. Andy has been a solid backup for us, better than some we have had, but there are still quarterbacks floating around who are younger and have more upside and potential at this point.

I've never been a huge fan of Hooker, but it's nothing personal against him, I just didn't think he was all that and a bag of chips.

Oh!  And, speaking of Quarterbacks.... I was watching the USFL a couple of months back, and who would you think was a starting quarterback for them?  Matt Corral, former Carolina Panther!

I could not help think how great he looked out there, how sharp, and accurate, until he threw two interceptions in the second half, one of which was a pick-six.  lol.  He was promptly benched and replaced by their backup quarterback.  I couldn't help thinking, "Poor guy.  If you get benched for the backup quarterback of a USFL football team, your career is going nowhere, and fast"  lol

That was another genius move by Fitt & Rhule.

Speaking of Rhule...saw that Nebraska gave him a 2 year extension.  Not a big salary increase but uncreased the buyout.  If Nebraska was smart...they would let Penn St come for him.  That would end up a mess......lol.

Who really knows but I saw where Dalton said if needed he would play. He is listed as questionable.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Friday that Bryce Young was clear to start against the Packers after missing last week's game, and that Andy Dalton would back him up despite suffering a thumb injury in the loss to the Bills.

Young has practiced fully all week and has no injury designation on the final report.

"Better and better, handled the week really well," Canales said when asked about Young's mobility."Each day just kind of ramped up some of the things we were exposing him to. He looked awesome, working with these guys, just getting in there, reading, communicating, and physically just looked like he's ready to go."

Dave's loyalty to players is concerning.  At least he could say Andy was a game time decision.  At this point I do not trust Andy in the Victory formation.

I like Andy Dalton a lot, but if last week was an indication of future performances , we probably need to turn the page. Let's hope not. I think he might have been a good mentor for Bryce.

I think I'm still worried Rico won't get the mass load of carries this week.. I'm hoping him running well and Bryce picking his spots lends is the lead and ball control late in the 4th qtr in the land of cheese.

WIN THE COIN TOSS AND WE WIN !!!!

Well, reports from the Panthers say that Bryce is starting and Andy Dalton is the backup, broken thumb and all.

Honestly, I think this is the offseason we part ways with Dalton.  What more does he have for Bryce?  I like having a backup with experience, but we need to invest in better depth at the position.

Dalton is done.  I think we could see that last year.

The energy of the defense was so different yesterday I wondered if the "Dalton" effect was a factor last week.  Although....Bryce, for all Canales' attempts to pump him up, is not all that good.

Dan has his work cut out for him and some tough decisions to make in the offseason.
