PANTHERS CLAIM IOL COREY BULLOCK FROM WAIVERS -- DUMP ZAVALA

Panthers claim Corey Bullock from Ravens, waive Chandler Zavala

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added another offensive lineman Monday, claiming former Ravens center Corey Bullock off waivers.

The 24-year-old Bullock, an undrafted rookie from North Carolina Central and Maryland, spent the 2024 season on the Ravens practice squad.

Last year, the 6-foot-3, 325-pounder appeared in 16 games, playing 13 snaps of offense and 55 on special teams.

To make room for him on the roster, they waived guard Chandler Zavala.

Zavala, a 2023 fourth-round pick, had started 14 games over three seasons here.

In a waiver wire deal, the Panthers have claimed an interior O-Lineman, Corey Bullock. Bullock was waived by the Ravens who apparently wanted him to pass through so they could put him on their PS. Instead, the Panthers claimed him and dumped Chandler Zavala in the process.

Bullock is "listed" as a Center, but some reports indicate that he plays Tackle as well. That seems to indicate that he could also play at the Guard position. I'm not sure why the Panthers would want another Center, but having a suitable O-Lineman that can play multiple positions is certainly wort exploring.

So, do we gain anything over Zavala..?? .. Hmm, I'm not sure. He's big, but no real experience. (he played 13 snaps for the Ravens last year -- and some on ST). ((Previously, in 2024, he didn't play -- PS only))
