...... For the Philadelphia Eagles.  :whistling:

......and three weeks ago he wasn't even on an NFL roster.

Kenjon Barnericon-article-link.gif was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week thanks to his strong performance against the Cardinals.

Barner had career highs in punt returns (3), punt return yards (110), and punt return average (36.7). His 76-yard punt return in the first quarter was the longest by an Eagle since Darren Sprolesicon-article-link.gif (83-yard TD) at New England in 2015. Barner's play helped set up tight end Zach Ertzicon-article-link.gif's touchdown in the blowout victory over the Cardinals.

Barner is the second Eagle to win the award this season. Rookie Jake Elliotticon-article-link.gif won the award in Week 3 after his game-winning and franchise-record 61-yard field goal.

Barner is the first Eagles returner to win the award since Josh Huff last October.

Incredibly, neither Barner nor Elliott was on the 53-man roster at the start of the season. Elliott was signed to the roster in Week 2 after kicker Caleb Sturgisicon-article-link.gif was placed on Injured Reserve with a knee injury. After being released by the Chargers at the end of the preseason, Barner was brought back to the Eagles in Week 4 after Sproles was lost for the season with a broken forearm and torn ACL.

I imagine he'll be extra motivated tonight to do good against the team that drafted him.

LOL, he shouldn't need extra motivation. It sounds like he was motivated enough having previously been let go by the Eagles. Getting the phone call to come back and stick on the roster should be enough to have apparently light a fire under his butt.
