The Panthers have announced that special teams coach Danny Crossman will not be retained for the 2010 season.

-Panthers' official Twitter page and Darin Gantt.

So, now who will replace him?

Just saw this on Panthers.com, but there is no story yet.

Seemed like one of those obvious things that we still wouldn't see done. Glad we're trying to improve.

So glad we finally made this move. This is now all 3: Henning, Trgo, and now Crossman. Fox has axed all of his guys, one by one. I'm actually glad he didn't do it all at once (like I wanted). That would have been too much turnover.

That's one of the things that would scare me about getting a new head coach. I'd hate to start completely, especially when we're so close.

You guys are going to laugh and then cry at this...

Crossman has a year left on his deal. But since he's not being back $6.5 million in 2010, the team apparently was willing to pay him not to work.

:wtfs: 6.5 mil for a special teams coach? :wtfs: Sounds like they got the numbers wrong, because there is no way that a Special teams coach is making more than the head coach

It's a start... now we need to address:

Richard Williamson, Geep Chryst and Marty Hurney. Call the other Marty... Marty Schottenheimer and offer him the GM position.

Just actually read the PTF post and they're actually saying, since he's not being paid Fox's salary, Richardson was willing to let him walk and pay his meager salary. Richardson was nto willing to eat Fox's 6.5 million to fire him.

Thanks. It felt like it was written weird. That'd explain it. :bag:
