All we are supposed to get here is rain, and maybe some freezing rain. Sucks. We always miss out.

To all those who get snow, I hope you will all enjoy it and be safe. Don't travel if you don't have to.

South Gastonia has been getting some good snow since about 5, it isn't coming down now, but the radar shows more on its way.

Thanks

I've gotten a bit more than 2 inches of snow and currently have a bit of sleet coming down in Wendell (about 15 miles east of Raleigh).

The news reported officially 8" here in Cherryville (Northwest Gaston County)

It's really beautiful, but I dread when I have to go out. It's not looking like we'll have melting anytime soon. They are calling for low teens tonight and tomorrow night. Brrrrrr.

I think we got around 8 inches up here in the High Country too. I hate it. Hate shoveling, hate walking around in it, hate driving in it, love to watch it come down though. lol

According to what's piled up on my truck and on the rails of my deck, it looks like we got about five inches here. I'm just thankful it was snow and not ice.

From what it sounds like, Wake county was about split in half. Western Wake, where most of the rest of my family lives, got at least 5 inches from what it sounds like. While eastern Wake county, where I live, got less than 3 inches. Nice thing is my employer had already decided before we left work Friday to delay work tomorrow by 2 hours, which means heading in at 10 am for me. It would be nice if the roads were still just messy enough tomorrow to get out of work completely though. :whistling:

Well Shucks, not quite what I was hoping for so far, but at least my work hours got delayed till noon. That still means 5 hours of work with no lunch hour. Hmm, I wonder what I'll do for the rest of the day. :naughty: :whistling:

Well here in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesepeake, Virgina.... Since i work midnights...it started Freezing rain for 3 hours at 1 am on 30 jan 10, then started snowing hard at 4 am, it did that for about 3 hours. It still snowed during the day Saturday. I think they said we got around 8-12 inches...Which is prob more than we normally get in a winter season here..

Well it turns out we didn't get the worst storm of the year yesterday. Nope, we're getting it now. It's a straight up blizzard here now. The whiteouts are dangerous!
