The news reported officially 8" here in Cherryville (Northwest Gaston County)
It's really beautiful, but I dread when I have to go out. It's not looking like we'll have melting anytime soon. They are calling for low teens tonight and tomorrow night. Brrrrrr.

From what it sounds like, Wake county was about split in half. Western Wake, where most of the rest of my family lives, got at least 5 inches from what it sounds like. While eastern Wake county, where I live, got less than 3 inches. Nice thing is my employer had already decided before we left work Friday to delay work tomorrow by 2 hours, which means heading in at 10 am for me. It would be nice if the roads were still just messy enough tomorrow to get out of work completely though. :whistling:

Well here in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesepeake, Virgina.... Since i work midnights...it started Freezing rain for 3 hours at 1 am on 30 jan 10, then started snowing hard at 4 am, it did that for about 3 hours. It still snowed during the day Saturday. I think they said we got around 8-12 inches...Which is prob more than we normally get in a winter season here..
