I don't think theres any need at FB at all. Hoover is a great player who honestly may just be reaching his prime if his back injury doesn't keep flaring up. Most pro-bowl fullbacks don't get there till past 30. We also have Fiametta being brought up in the wings too. He was only a rookie last year so it'd be ridiculous to call him a bust now.
I think were set at TE too. Our TE's will never be like the Dallas Clarks and the Tony Gonzales's of the league, but they're solid blockers and decent receivers, so I doubt we make a move for a TE this year apart from maybe another 5th round pick, lol.

We have a glut of talent at RB. If Sutton or Goodson develop a little during the season it would be nice to trade 1 of them for picks.
Fiam looked lost in a few games. Hopefully he develops into a worthy Hoover successor.

QB Josh McCown
QB A.J. Feeley
I hope to God you're right. I can't stand McCown and Feeley isn't much better.
As far as Moose I feel pretty good about him returning. During the season I think he said he'd like to retire as a Panther so I don't think he'd demand too much money to stay.

At fullback and tightend I think we are ok. Hoover will be back and Fiammata will get better.
Wide Receiver is definitely the biggy-- Although I think Moose will be back.
Steve Smith said he wants to play the slot, and he should actually. He is best in crossing routes and quick slants anyway and would be awesome for bubble screens. His teeth are starting to lengthen too. :runaway:
On trading a running back: I doubt anyone is going to give up picks for Goodson who started looking more like a 7th round pick than a 4th rounder.
Sutton reminds me of Chester Taylor. I would keep him as he is the best substitute behind Double Trouble.

I agree about Smitty in the slot. Finding the big burner on the outside will be the issue of course. I wish we could clone Larry Fitzgerald. He is Smitty with size. He lacks the crazed and entertaining attitude of Smitty though.
Regarding what I said about the RBs... I did NOT say we could trade either of them NOW. I said, "We have a glut of talent at RB. If Sutton or Goodson develop a little during the season it would be nice to trade 1 of them for picks." So asssuming Stewart and/or D-Will miss time as has happened in the recent past, I think Goodson and Sutton could come in and shine and make good trade bait down the line. Both guys have shown promise and with a year under their belt I think they are ready to step up.
Speaking of Goodson it seems he has great starting speed, but lacks the top gear. With the draft coming up it makes me wonder why teams don't time these guys at 10 20 30 and 40 yards. Anyone who has ever watched 100m sprint races in the Olympics knows that there are several types of speed. Goodson definitely qualifies as the quick starter who fades. Also, why not time these guys in full pads? Who cares how they run a sprint in shorts and a t-shirt? Guys like Crabtree realized what a big deal the 40 time is in getting paid and dedicated a load of time to learning how to run like an Olympic athelete. He realized it made him much more valuable, but in my opinion it means 0 for football.

Goodson to me was fighting hard in preseason and looked pretty good. When he got his concussion though, maybe it scared him. When he came back, he was not hitting holes hard at all.
It happens. Minnesota's run game started going downhill last season, and their offensive line gets hammered, but it was really Adrian Peterson running scared. For good reason obviously, he finally got brave again against the Saints and really lost the game for them, 3 fumbles including that one on the goal line after Reggie's muffed punt.
Sutton though to me as I said looks like a younger, faster Chester Taylor. Has decent size, hits a hole fast, catches, and can get a few yards after. I think he is going to work out nicely.
Moose can stay and play wide out as he has, but we really need 2 receivers like Kevin Walter, Lee Evans, Chris Chambers-- I am mentioning guys that are out there.
Lee Evans and Kevin Walter are two pretty good, young receivers.
Who goes? Preferably the entire receiving corps minus Steve Smith(Moose can stay, but 3 FA receivers and a drafted one would be awesome--start over again!)

Yeah, if both sides agree that the #2 job is off limits, it's a good possibility we see him around.
